ELLMERS ASKS, “HAD ENOUGH?” IN VIDEO
Republican Nominee Criticizes “Out of Control” Washington
DUNN, NC- Renee Ellmers, Republican nominee for North Carolina’s Second
Congressional District, published a video today criticizing President Obama’s use of “stimulus funds” to promote the Democrats’ political agenda, with support from Congressman Bob Etheridge (D-NC).
Etheridge, a 14-year incumbent, voted in favor of President Obama’s “economic stimulus” package, which has increased the deficit to more than a trillion dollars. Etheridge has voted with President Obama 97 percent of the time in Congress.
Whether it is stimulus marketing road signs, President Barack Obama Parkway in Orlando, Fla., or iPods for welfare recipients, Ellmers points out that these projects are funded by out of control Washington spending.
“Bob Etheridge spending millions on road signs that do nothing but promote
President Obama’s political agenda is another example of what’s wrong with
Washington,” Ellmers said. “We need to cut spending and cut taxes to create
jobs. Put simply, Congressman Etheridge has chosen Washington ‘politics as
usual’ over what’s best for the economy.”
