Justice Delayed for Victims of Cole Bombing

The Obama administration has “shelved the planned prosecution of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the alleged coordinator of the Oct. 2000 suicide attack on the USS Cole in Yemen.”

This would have been the first major al-Qaeda figure tried under the new military commission system Obama set up – and at least one military official said the decision not to prosecute al-Nashiri was a political one.

First Congressman Etheridge voted to close Gitmo, which means putting terrorists on trial in New York City where they will be given their “Constitutional Rights.” Now the USS Cole bomber trial is being blocked by Obama’s justice department while military families right here in North Carolina are waiting for justice – for example Lakeina Monique Francis from Woodleaf, NC was killed in the Cole bombing and Jesse Nieto, a civilian employee at Camp Lejeune, lost his son Marc in the attack.

We don’t know whether or not Bob Etheridge supports President Obama’s decision to delay the trial for al-Nashiri. He won’t say. So I’ll ask: Bob, do you support the Obama agenda?
