A Common Sense Reform
Sometimes cutting red tape and making government more efficient can be as easy as looking at a problem and applying a little common sense.
That’s why I am proud to be joining Representative Marsha Blackburn as a co-sponsor of The CHOP Act (HR 4295), a bill that will merge the Department of Energy and the EPA into one department, saving an estimated $5.3 Billion by eliminating duplicative programs.
By simply merging these two departments, we are able to cut waste, streamline the Energy and Environmental agencies, and promote government efficiency.
I know you sent me to Washington to fight against the ever-growing bureaucracy and red tape. This bill, and many of the others I have sponsored, co-sponsored, and voted for over the last year and a half seek to do just that - stop the expansion of big government.
Now I need your help to continue the fight. Will you join my efforts to streamline government and make it more accountable and more efficient?
Tomorrow marks the end of a very important fundraising quarter for the campaign and I need your support right now to show liberals in Washington and here in North Carolina that we are serious about stopping big government and cutting red tape.
Will you donate $100, $50, $25, or whatever you can afford right now? Let’s end this quarter strong and show the tax and spend liberals that we are serious about cutting government waste.
