Election Night Statement from Congresswoman Ellmers
Dunn, NC - Congresswoman Renee Ellmers released the following statement tonight:
Today I was honored to receive the support of so many Republican voters across the Second District. It is an honor to do the work of the people and the results tonight show that we, as conservatives, are in lockstep ready to turn around the failed policies of Barack Obama.
I am grateful for the support of the voters of the district and I look forward to working with our party to move our State and our Nation forward. Tonight we unite. We unite behind our nominee for President and our entire slate of candidates that understand that a smaller, more efficient government that gets out of the way of North Carolina businesses and families will help revitalize our economy and create good jobs.
Tonight we celebrate a victory and tonight we celebrate coming together as Republicans. Tomorrow we get back to work as a team, ready to fight for lower taxes, less government, fewer regulations and an economy that keeps our best and brightest right here in North Carolina.
