Washington Politics — Had Enough?

President Obama and Bob Etheridge promised us the stimulus plan would kick start the economy, helping businesses that are struggling and individuals who are out of work.   But if you want to see one reason we’ve lost 2.3 million jobs instead – look at ‘Washington politics as usual.’  Look at how Obama has spent millions to promote the Democrats’ political agenda.

For example, take the millions Obama spent on road signs telling people his ‘Stimulus Plan’ is working. Is Obama putting people to work or advancing his political agenda? ‘Stimulus Funds’ have been spent to widen a road (named for Obama) in Florida and used them to pay for big screen televisions, iPods and video games for welfare recipients in New York.

It’s a picture of how Washington works.  It’s politics first. And cutting taxes and spending (which would create jobs) is not on the agenda.

Back home we know what it will take to stimulate the economy.  We need common sense solutions.  We need to remove the obstacles – like Obamacare – standing in the way of our economy recovering. And there’s only one way to do it – to end Washington ‘politics as usual.’
