Bob Etheridge is holding a BBQ dinner on September 29th, but not in Dunn or Smithfield or Rocky Mount. He’s holding it a block from Capitol Hill. And he’s charging $2,500 for a plate of barbeque. Now let’s guess no one – not even in Washington – is silly enough to pay $2,500 for a [...]
Obama-Etheridge Policies Crushing the Middle Class
Bob Etheridge just sent out an email attacking me claiming “my opponent‘s economic plan would crush middle class families and reward Wall Street” – That’s pretty brazen from a man who’s accepted $500,000 in cash from special interest PACs, then voted to bail out everyone from Wall Street bankers to the United Auto Workers Union. [...]
Etheridge’s “Main Street before Wall Street” Rhetoric
For those who did not receive the slick card mailer Bob Etheridge sent at taxpayer expense last week, he had the following to say about his record on putting “Main Street before Wall Street:” Tough new Wall Street reforms will rein in Big Banks, and their excessive bonuses, end bailouts and stop “too big to [...]
Etheridge’s Priorities Don’t Match NC-2 Priorities
In a letter Bob Etheridge sent to voters last week – at taxpayer expense – he stated: “The issues that matter most to North Carolinians are Bob Etheridge’s priorities.” According to a poll of Second District voters done in June by Survey USA , 55% to 38% voting in our district disapprove of the job [...]
How Etheridge’s Washington Letter Compares to Real World Facts…
In his latest newsletter to voters – again paid for with taxpayers’ money – Bob Etheridge is making claims that are simply not supported by the facts.
For instance, in his email this week Congressman Etheridge said, “My top priorities in the U.S. House of Representatives have been jobs, jobs, and jobs.”
If he was really in touch with the economic situation in the district – and the nation – he would know the state of the job market has only suffered as a result of his votes for Obama’s so-called ‘Stimulus Plan,’ Obamacare and billions of additional Democratic spending on failed policies. He would also know that the middle class – he claims to be working for – is suffering greatly in today’s economy.
